How to stay sane whilst in quarantine at home
Here are some ways you can maintain your sanity during home isolation.
- Do something creative, whether its painting, expanding your culinary skills, or decorating that spare room, you have many options to choose from.
- Try to keep a routine. This could be based by your work schedule or your daily meals or something else. But a structure will be super helpful for you.
- Use this time to learn something new. For example, a language or new skills by doing online classes. Whatever you choose, you will have a sense of accomplishment for taking on a new endeavour.
- Stay connected with friends and family by having video calls. Just because your stuck at home doesn’t mean you cannot socialise!
- Practise selfcare as much as possible, by exercising, medicating and eating healthy foods. Take time out to do what makes you feel good.
- Complete all those home projects that you’ve been putting on the back burner as it will feel good to finally tick off these items off your TO DO list.
- And finally, if you deem necessary, seek help from a mental health professional. These are difficult and unprecedented times so its important to focus on your overall well-being as best as you can.
